- 6 credits of inorganic (245, 341);
- 6 credits of organic (221, 222);
- 6 credits of physical (235, 335);
- 9 credits biochemistry (255, 6 credits from 355, 452, 455, 496 and 497);
- 3 credits chemistry elective
- 3 credits organic spectroscopy (325)

Total of 45 chemistry credits, plus the non-credit seminar courses 391 (junior year) and 491 (senior year).
Advanced Major students are also required to attend all department seminars during their junior and senior years. Because it is an intro-level course, it is recommended that students intending to do the Advanced Major degree, Biochemistry Concentration take PHYS 101, 102 or PHYS 121, 122 during their first or second year of study.
