The Diversity Engagement Centre (DEC) at StFX is a space dedicated to enhancing the university's efforts to support traditionally underrepresented student populations on campus. The four advisory offices serve as a support point for students to connect with someone who has had similar lived experiences.  

The DEC is located on 4th floor of Bloomfield near the offices of the Manager of Human Rights & Equity and 2SLGBTQIA+ Student Inclusion and International Student Advisor. It offers a positive environment for all students to experience and understand societal differences through open conversation, educational programming and social activities.  

The Dr. Agnes Calliste Academic and Cultural Centre, located in MSB 225, serves as the Black Student Success Centre at StFX. It is a welcoming space that fosters a strong sense of belonging for Black students, supporting their academic achievement, cultural expression, and community connection. The offices of the Centre Manager and the Black Student Advisor are also located within this vibrant and supportive environment.

Kiknu - the Indigenous Student Centre is located in the Markin Global Complex, Coady International Institute. The lounge offers a quiet place to study or just to relax. It is a welcoming space that fosters a strong sense of belonging for Indigenous students, supporting their academic achievement, cultural expression, and community connection.   You can also book a meeting or drop in for a conversation with the of Indigenous Student Advisor.
