Innovating Health Together

The Victor and Mona Dahdaleh Institute for Innovation in Health at StFX is at the intersection of research and action; academia and community; innovation and impact.

The Institute serves as a hub for rural health research, innovation, and community partnership — advancing collaborative solutions that improve the health and wellbeing of rural Nova Scotian communities. Working across disciplines and sectors, the Dahdaleh Institute will provide a collaborative space for researchers, students, community groups, and partners to:

  • Exchange ideas and expertise
  • Generate and translate new knowledge, technologies, and approaches
  • Test, refine, and support the implementation of products, systems, and solutions

The provincial government has mapped out its key health priorities in its strategic plan, Action for Health. The Dahdaleh Institute will play a significant role in advancing these objectives.

Our Vision

Healthy rural communities where people thrive.

The Dahdaleh Institute for Innovation in Health will be Nova Scotia’s leading hub for collaborative research and innovation focused on rural communities and traditionally under-served communities, working to improve health outcomes for all Nova Scotians.
