  • 12 credits of organic (221, 222, 421, 422); 
  • 9 credits of physical (235, 335, 336); 
  • 3 credits biochemistry (255); 
  • 6 credits of chemistry electives
  • 3 credits organic spectroscopy (325)
  • Honours Thesis Research (490, 6 credits)

Total of 63 credits, plus the non-credit seminar courses 391 (junior year) and 491 (senior year).

Honours students are also required to attend all department seminars during their junior and senior years.

A suggested pattern for the degree of B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours): 
Year 1: CHEM 101, 102 or 121, 122; MATH 106, 107, or 121, 122, or 126, 127; PHYS 101, 102 or 121, 122; 12 credits of arts/open electives
Year 2: CHEM 221, 222, 235, 245, 255, 265, 6 credits of math elective; 6 credits of arts/open electives 
Year 3: CHEM 325, 341, 342, 361, 362, 391; 6 credits of science electives; 6 credits of arts/open electives 
Year 4: CHEM 331, 332, 421, 422, 490, 491, 3 credits of chemistry elective; 9 credits of arts/open electives
