AFP Degree Requirements

The Applied Forensic Psychology (AFP) program can be completed as part of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Students completing either degree will be subject to the same program requirements, but the degree requirements will differ. While your AFP requirements will not change, whether you complete a BA or BSc will depend on whether you prefer your other courses to be predominantly from the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science. You will apply to the university directly to the BSc or the BA in Applied Forensic Psychology. Again, the admissions requirements for a BA or BSc are different, so be sure to consult the academic calendar for more details.

Within the AFP program, you will have the option of completing a Major or an Honours degree. An honours degree requires that students meet a minimum average, complete more courses, and an honours thesis. You do not need to make the decision to pursue a Major or an Honours degree until your second year. Again, be sure to consult the academic calendar for more details.
