Program Overview
The Used Laptops for Students Program is a collaborative initiative run in partnership with the StFX Student Union. It aims to provide affordable, refurbished laptops to eligible StFX students through a random draw system. Selected students are given the opportunity to purchase a pre-owned laptop at a significantly reduced cost, helping to remove barriers to academic success.
This program is open to all current StFX students, with applications opening each semester.
How it Works
- Students submit an application before the deadline
- Laptop quantities are limited*, so all applicants are entered into a random draw
- Selected students will be notified via email
- Instructions for pickup and payment will follow
*Note that we anticipate additional laptops for sale in January.
How to Apply
The next round of applications will open Monday, January 5th, 2026 and close on Monday, January 12th, 2026.
Eligibility: To apply, you must be a currently enrolled StFX student with a @stfx.ca email address.
