Spring Convocation 2026 was an especially meaningful day for one Nova Scotia family. Sisters Jillian Soucy ’26 and Grace Cansdale ’26, along with their mom, Patricia Cansdale ’26, all graduated from StFX on May 3. They join a third sister, Lauren Soucy ’19, as proud StFX alumni.
“We are very excited and proud of one another,” says eldest sister Jillian Soucy of Stillwater Lake, NS. “We love the StFX community and we all have such fond memories of our time spent here. It's going to be a day to remember. We've all worked hard and get to celebrate together!”
Jillian was the first in the family to attend StFX, receiving her X-Ring in 2017. She graduates this year with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition.
Her sister Lauren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) in 2019.
Younger sister Grace Cansdale graduated this year with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Their mother Patricia Cansdale received a Master of Education. Patricia was also a high school teacher to her daughters.
