A 2014 graduate of St. Francis Xavier University's School of Nursing, she began her career in acute medical-surgical nursing before developing an interest in perioperative nursing. She went on to work in the General, Plastics, and Vascular Operating Rooms at the QEII in Halifax.

Following the birth of her first child, she and her family moved to Cape Breton, where she continued her nursing career at the Strait Richmond Hospital in both the inpatient and emergency departments, while also gaining experience in clinical leadership and community health. 

She is passionate about acute care and clinical learning and is excited to return to StFX as a Nurse Educator and mentor for the next generation of nurses.
