StFX Alumni Lifting Others

Deemed one of the highlight alumni events of the year, this online panel will be hosted once-again by renowned leader Kwame Osei '10, co-founder of the LIFT Bursary for Black students, and will feature a powerful conversation with four inspiring StFX alumni from across three decades, including:
Rebecca Mesay (2020) - A Calgary alumna who has worked in the Prime Minister's Office, Rebecca Mesay is an immigration lawyer and known for her campus leadership and for being the first Black woman to serve as StFX Students' Union President.
Ellis Ffrench (2013) - A native of Wolfville, Nova Scotia and former X-Men Basketball player, Ellis Ffrench is a recognized marketing expert for professional sport teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL), the Argos (CFL), and now the Brooklyn Nets (NBA).
Alexandra Hall (1998) - An esteemed leader in The Bahamas, with degrees in Science and Arts from StFX, Alexandra Hall was recently recognized as a rising-star lawyer in the financial and corporate sector and as a next-generation law partner for the Caribbean region.
Augy Jones (1990) - A dynamic speaker and educator from Halifax, Augy Jones is a three-time graduate from StFX (including a degree in poetry!) and is known as a StFX leader, athlete, coach, and a national advocate for diversity and inclusion.
This deeply reflective conversation will focus on the panelists' experiences at StFX and how their alma mater influenced their lives and careers. We will also announce the 2026 awardee of the LIFT Bursary for Black StFX leaders, which you can support here.
