Conditions of Acceptance for High School Students

  • Successful completion of grade 12. 
  • You must maintain an overall average of at least 70% with no mark lower than 65% in the five pre-requisite academic level courses for your program.
    • If your grading scheme differs from the standard format above, please refer to your acceptance letter or contact @email for further clarification.
  • Submit your final high school transcript as soon as it is available; your high school transcript is required to arrive no later than August 15, 2026.
    • Failure to send final transcripts will result in a registration hold being placed on your account which will impact your ability to register in additional courses and/or modify your course schedule.

Note: If you do not obtain the minimum requirements to maintain your offer of admission, you must notify the StFX Admissions department and enroll and complete upgrading courses prior to commencing studies at StFX. Proof of enrolment in upgrading is required to maintain your seat in the program. You must successfully complete any upgrading courses with a minimum average of 65% prior to September 1st of your intake year. We reserve the right to change your program offer once we receive your final transcripts if course and grade requirements for your program choice are not met.

Conditions of Entrance Scholarship Offers

  • Any entrance scholarship value included in your letter of offer is an estimate based on the Grade 11 and/or in-progress Grade 12 marks used to assess your application. 
  • The final value of the entrance scholarship awarded and applied to your student account will be based on final marks for the five Grade 12 courses used to meet admission requirements for your program.
  • If a student’s final average falls below 85% an entrance scholarship will not be awarded. 
  • To receive a scholarship, students must submit their final high school transcript by August 15, 2026.

To maintain an entrance scholarship, students must achieve a minimum average of 80% at StFX in the Fall/Winter terms combined. This scholarship is tenable at StFX over four consecutive years of study.

Conditions of Acceptance for Transfer Students

  • Successful completion of currently enrolled courses with a minimum overall average of 60% and be in good academic standing.
  • Submission of final official post-secondary transcript(s) as soon as it is available; final transcripts are required to arrive no later than the start of classes in January or September (depending on the term you are beginning your courses at StFX).
    • Failure to send final transcripts will result in a registration hold being placed on your account which will impact your ability to register in additional courses and/or modify your course schedule.
    • Note: May 30th is the deadline to submit transcripts for consideration for the transfer scholarship.

Note: We reserve the right to change your program offer once we receive your final transcripts if the course and grade requirements for your program choice are not met.
