The St. FX Summer Music Camp is a unique and enriching opportunity for young musicians, where participants learn under the guidance of nationally and internationally recognized professional musicians and educators while gaining new skills and knowledge in a peer and mentor driven environment, all while making new friendships that will last a lifetime.
In this immersive and collaborative environment, participants work in groups learning about the tools and skills used to create music including performance practices, instrumental skills, self-expression, cooperative teamwork, music theory, listening skills, and how to perform with a band!
With a faculty comprised of award-winning professional musicians and St. FX music-majors, students will learn and participate in an environment that is attuned to each individual’s specific needs to best ensure that each student has a valuable experience at camp.
Students will enjoy group masterclasses, group lessons in music theory and performance practices, and band sessions where students will prepare music together under the guidance of faculty and student mentors, geared toward a final concert at the end of camp.
There is also a very special artist in residence visit during camp by a professional musician who will speak about their experiences and journey as a professional musician and even give a special performance for attendees. 2026's special guest announcement is coming soon!
St. FX Summer Music Camp is all about learning in an inclusive, fun, community driven environment where faculty, mentors, and all participants are equally valuable to the experience. It’s not about being the best—it’s about being the best YOU!
