Negotiation Updates

In late December 2023, a tentative agreement was reached between the University and the St. Francis Xavier Association of University Teachers (the StFXAUT).  We are pleased to announce that both the StFXAUT and the StFX Board of Governors have ratified the tentative agreement. Additional information on the new collective agreement, which will be in place until June 30, 2026, will be available shortly.  

The University and the StFXAUT would like to thank the members of both bargaining teams for their work in reaching this agreement.  

The StFXAUT represents the University’s faculty (including part-time academic instructors), librarians, laboratory instructors, learning skills instructors, nurse educators, Coady Institute program staff and dietetic educators.

The University will be entering negotiations with the StFX Association of University Teachers and NSGEU Local 88 in the coming months. Information and updates on these negotiations will be posted on this site as they become available.
