Mental Health Supports
Flourish@X is all about taking care of your mental health in proactive ways, through participation in activities and programs that help to build healthy coping skills and resilience. Flourish@X programs and initiatives take a holistic approach to student wellness. We collaborate with community partners to support students’ mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health, and we create opportunities for students to build connections and community. Appreciating and celebrating the diversity of our community, we want all students to discover their own ways to flourish during their time at StFX! For more information check out Flourish@X on Facebook and Instagram.
Book an Appointment
Your first appointment will be an Intake Assessment with our Mental Health Nurse. When booking this appointment online, you can choose a Mental Health Intake appointment if you’re seeking support for your mental health. The Nurse will speak with you privately, to get information about your mental health concern and she will then direct you to the right service after carefully listening and evaluating your mental health needs. She will then book you an appointment with one or more of the following professionals at the Health & Counselling Centre: Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Therapist, or a specialized Nurse, and will also recommend other university supports, as well as community-based and online resources that may be helpful.
