Antigonish Urban Walk

  • Saturday, Sept. 12, 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Landing
    • We will leave on foot from campus at the Bloomfield Centre; people may choose to join at the Landing trailhead

Arisaig Beach Nature Walk

  • Saturday, Sept. 26, 1-4 pm
    • Arisaig Provincial Park (transportation and snacks provided, cost: $10)
    • We will leave from the Saputo building entrance

Mental Health First Aid

Help young people navigate mental health challenges with understanding and support.

2-day workshop on Saturday & Sunday, September 19 & 20, 2026, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

As a Mental Health First Aider, you will learn:

  • Recognize signs that a young person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health or substance use crisis
  • Discuss professional and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being
  • Initiate Conversations that encourage a young person to talk about a mental health or substance use problem
  • Assist in a mental health or substance use crisis situation

The Inquiring Mind: Mental Health Training for Youth

Designed for educational settings, this evidence-based program empowers students aged 12-25 and those who support them to prioritize mental health and break the stigma around mental illness.

4-hour workshop on Sunday, November 8, 2026, 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM (one-hour lunch) 

Training Outcomes

  • Break Down Stigma 

  • Strengthen Communication Skills 

  • Improve Resilience
