On the eve of the Liberal Party of Canada’s leadership convention, please join the Mulroney Institute for discussion on the ins and outs of political conventions in Canada from someone who has been there, Dr. Joseph Khoury (English Department). Dr. Khoury is former President of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party (2018–22) and National Director (NS) of the Liberal Party of Canada (2018–22). He has organized two provincial leadership conventions and was co-campaign director for Nova Scotia during the 2021 federal election. Topics of discussion will include the who, what, and whys of political conventions, and the hows of choosing political party leaders in Canada.
