We invite you to come to campus and join us as we help ensure those in need have access to healthy food. We will be collecting non-perishable food items supporting Kevin’s Corner Food Resource Centre at StFX as well as the Antigonish Food Bank.
Did you know… 40% of post-secondary students in Canada are food insecure.
This is why we are taking part in this collaborative campaign involving all universities and colleges across Nova Scotia!
Kevin’s Corner, is a free, confidential, and accessible food resource centre on campus, which is open to all StFX students. Kevin’s Corner ensures any student experiencing food insecurity can access healthy food.
• Tuesday, November 28th 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
• Stuff the bus with non-perishable food donations and/or hygiene products, supporting Kevin’s Corner at StFX & Antigonish Food Bank, let’s see how much we can fit in the bus
• Bus will be located outside Morrison Hall at StFX
• Last year we collected approx. 1,500 lbs of food donations. This year we hope you’ll help us reach and surpass our goal of 2,000 lbs
• Give online at www.stfx.ca/give, all financial donations will directly support Kevin’s Corner Food Resource Centre
• Double your impact, all financial donations will be matched dollar for dollar by J & W Murphy Foundation (up to $5,000). We are incredibly thankful for their continued support; the impact of their philanthropy will be felt across the campus and throughout our shared community.
