The Honourable Lisa Raitt, PC

Monday, March 9, 2026

7:00 pm–9:00 pm

Mulroney Hall 2030

The Mulroney Institute of Government is pleased to welcome The Honourable Lisa Raitt (BSc ’89) as part of its Distinguished Speakers Series. While a sitting MP, Lisa Raitt’s world suddenly changed in 2016. Her partner was diagnosed with young-onset Alzheimer’s in his mid-fifties. Since then, Ms. Raitt has worked tirelessly as an advocate for Alzheimer’s and Dementia care and to bring recognition to the importance of caregivers. In this talk, Ms. Raitt will share her journey as a caregiver and the lessons she has learned along the way.

The talk will be moderated by Dr. Katie Aubrecht, Director of the Centre for Aging and Disability Justice and the Spatializing Care Lab, and Associate Professor, Sociology, at StFX.

All are welcome.
