The annual "AFP@X Day" is taking place this Friday, March 22 in the McKenna Auditorium. The day is largely organized by senior Applied Forensic Psychology students who have arranged a great line up of speakers from across the clinical forensic field -some of whom are StFX alumni. This year, we are very fortunate to have Mr. Howard Sapers as the keynote speaker. Mr. Sapers is the Chairperson of the SIU-Implementation Advisory Panel and has served as the former Correctional Investigator of Canada. It is a real treat to welcome him back to StFX. His biography can be found here: https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/cntrng-crm/crrctns/siuiap-ccuis-en.aspx
In addition to the speakers, the day always has fun activities organized by our students, a small poster session set up of current research and practica, and wraps up with an "Alumni Panel" featuring past graduates of the program that share about their life after StFX - "how did you get from here (X) to there (Y)?" All are welcome from the StFX campus, Antigonish community, and beyond!
