Financial support from alumni, friends, and corporations is critical to maintaining StFX’s leadership position among Canadian universities, and helping current and future students meet their potential. The generous support of our benefactors helps the university maintain academic excellence and provide the highest quality undergraduate education for students.

You can donate to scholarships, bursaries, enhancing the student experience, athletics, improving and maintaining our facilities and study spaces, and more — the choice is yours. We also have several, flexible giving options to make it easy for you to help create a better StFX.

Did you know: A donation of just $2.74 a day can add up to a five-year pledge of $5,000? Any gift can have an impact.

Annual Giving

The Annual Giving program secures support for the day-to-day operations of the university. If you choose this option, you can designate your donation to a specific area and even leave a ‘FacultyGram’ message for favourite professors and staff. The Annual Giving program provides employment to about 40 students each year in the call centre, so that alumni and friends can learn first-hand about StFX today from current students. Xaverian Scholarship & Bursary Fund

Research has shown that a major factor for a student when selecting a university experience is cost. While StFX compares favourably to its peers in terms of tuition, the university falls behind other institutions that offer preferential scholarship and bursary packages, leaving some of the most talented students with difficult choices— decisions made largely based on financial factors.

Our goal is to never turn away a student because of financial need. The Xaverian Fund will establish a $50 million endowment for scholarships and bursaries that will be used to that will be used to ensure that StFX continues to attract students from all backgrounds who are seeking the most comprehensive undergraduate education in Canada. Your support will ensure that this happens.

Planned Giving

The StFX Legacy Circle recognizes individuals who provide support for the university with current or deferred legacy gifts, through their estate planning. Members of the Legacy Circle share a strong bond of generosity and commitment to StFX, ensuring the university’s continued success. To join the StFX Legacy Circle, please contact us. We can provide sample bequest language for inclusion in your will or assist you with a plan that meets your philanthropic and financial goals.
