Job Posting: Host – MyCampus Today
Are you energetic, outgoing, and proud to be part of the StFX community? We’re looking for student hosts to be the on-camera faces of MyCampus Today – a video series to promote events, announcements, and news relevant to our campus community, and increase awareness of the MyCampus platform overall.
MyCampus Today hosts will record short daily videos highlighting upcoming events, announcements, and important campus news. Videos will appear on the MyCampus platform and on select StFX social media channels — helping to build excitement and awareness of everything happening at StFX.
Responsibilities:
MyCampus Today hosts will:
- Record daily short videos promoting events, announcements, and campus opportunities, and send videos to the StFX digital communications team for publication.
- Represent and promote the MyCampus platform to the StFX student community.
- Bring energy, enthusiasm, and authenticity to each video.
- Engage viewers by communicating in a clear, confident, and relatable way.
Qualifications:
MyCampus Today hosts will:
- Be current StFX students.
- Be comfortable and confident on camera.
- Have strong communication skills—articulate, clear, and engaging.
- Be enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about StFX campus life.
- Be reliable and consistent in delivering daily content.
- Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality video outputs.
- Have a smartphone capable of filming clear, crisp videos free of blurriness or pixelation
