Our Green Program

Located where nature and culture meet, StFX Conference Team supports sustainable development and the protection of Nova Scotian eco-systems. Our green program helped us reduce our energy consumption by 27%. More than 18,000 lightbulbs have been replaced with LED lamps and solar panels have been installed on the Bloomfield Centre. Our program also contributed to reduce our green gas emissions by 21.8% from 2008 to 2017, which is equivalent to take 1500 cars of the road. Sodexo, our catering partner, also introduced green practices by adopting take-out bags made of recyclable paper, promoting the mug, starting to use compostable take-out containers and promoting fair-trade coffee.
