The StFX Open House is your opportunity to discover what it's like to live and learn on Canada's most beautiful campus. There's no better way to imagine yourself as a future student than to experience StFX in person.
We have an interactive, fun-filled day planned for you and your parents/supporters where you will:
- Learn about academic programs, student services, and residence options
- Attend faculty presentations
- Explore campus and take a guided tour of residences, classrooms, and student spaces. All 1st year students are guaranteed a room in residence!
- Enjoy a delicious free brunch at Morrison Hall, our main dining facility. Brunch is available by reservation, with times available on the hour from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. You can select a reservation time when you register!

Apply now and receive your acceptance package at the event!
- If you haven't done so already, submit a complete application at apply.stfx.ca.
- If you both register for Open House and receive an acceptance decision by Thursday, October 16, we will have your package waiting for you at the Application Centre on Sunday. You will receive an email notification about your application decision in advance.
- Have a question about your application? Admissions staff will be available at the event to answer any questions you may have.

You can also apply at the Open House and receive a decision. Please bring a physical copy of your high school transcript to review with an admissions officer.
*Excluded programs: Nursing, Applied Forensic Psychology, and Music
Housing Support Centre
Drop by the Housing Support Centre (Mulroney Hall, Room 2034) between 11:00am to 3:00pm. Open House attendees can ask questions about housing or apply for residence if you have already confirmed your seat in admissions.

Thinking about what to study at StFX? Every year at Open House, academic departments hold events to give you a sneak peek into our university's programs and courses. Attend a mini-lecture, check out a display or take part in a hands-on learning activity.

SCIENCE
Chemistry Activity – Nasso Family Science Centre 2037
Explore the world of chemistry through interactive demonstrations, including an acid-base titration, a UV-visible spectrometer in action, and a live distillation setup. Chat with lab instructors and students, and take a guided tour of our research lab spaces to see where discovery happens at StFX.
Computer Science Activity – Mulroney Hall, Scholar's Walk
Discover the power of programming as small robots bring code to life! Try out interactive demonstrations, learn how computer science connects to real-world technology, and explore the creative side of computing with our student experts.
Engineering Activity – Nasso Family Science Centre 1037
See science and innovation in action with a live demonstration of the Instron materials testing machine. Learn how engineers analyze and test materials, and get a glimpse of the problem-solving and design that drive the StFX Engineering experience.
Human Nutrition Activity – J. Bruce Brown Nutrition Lab
Step into our food lab in JBB and experience the hands-on learning that defines Human Nutrition at StFX. Engage in fun, interactive activities that show how science, food, and health come together in this dynamic program.
Physics Activity – Nasso Family Science Centre 1023
Faculty and students invite you to see some up close and in-person physics demonstrations: electron beams, radiation, smart carts, holograms, and telescopes! Better than YouTube and limited ads! We are happy to answer questions about physics programs, courses, expectations, and careers, but everyone is welcome.
Psychology Brain Game – Mulroney Hall 3024
Come check out a real research project while also learning about how to keep your brain healthy! The "Maintain your Brain" game is an evidence-based tool being developed by the PSYC department for sharing neuroscience research with the public.
Starts at 2:15pm, with space for up to 35 students!
