Students in StFX’s Gerald Schwartz School of Business had opportunity to put their knowledge into action on Friday, November 3rd, when the students in the BSAD 451: Cases in International Business course hosted the "Schwartz International Business Case Competition" for the second year in a row.

Teams of first and second-year BBA students spent the week prior to the internal event analyzing a case on the emerging plant-based pork industry with help from student mentors in the fourth-year class.

Dr. Mark Fuller, professor for the students who organized the competition, commented on the benefits to both the participants and the student organizers. “It’s a win-win scenario for everyone involved. Our student participants benefit from developing their analytical and presentation skills, and our student organizers benefit from giving back to the next generation of emerging business leaders.”

With prizes sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Business, the top three teams consisted of:

* First place: Isaac Hierlihy, Jona White, and Paul Eades (mentored by Philipp Woedl)

 * Second place: Miko Moraleta, Rowan Campbell, and Brandon Firlotte (mentored by Katia Beales-Salovitch)

* Third place: Matt Bilek, Owen Boyden, and Laura Cuthbertson (mentored by Shannon Ouellette)
