Scholarship/Bursary Application Deadline:

Tanenbaum Canada-Israel Student Exchange Scholarship

Scholarship Award: $12,000
The Tanenbaum Canada-Israel Student Exchange Scholarship allows two students from StFX to study at the Interdisciplinary Centre (IDC) Herzliya in Israel and brings two students from IDC Herzliya to study at StFX each year. Successful candidates will each receive a $12,000 scholarship to facilitate the experience. The purpose of the scholarship is to foster a mutual understanding of the business, economic, cultural and social environments of Canada and Israel.

STFX APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Plan to complete the exchange in the winter semester of their third year at StFX.
  • Be enrolled in either the BBA or BIS program at STFX.
  • Have an average of 80% or higher and not be on academic probation.
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Demonstrate an interest in international affairs and developing intercultural competencies.
  • Priority will be given to students who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.

Scholarship awards for IDC Herzliya students are made by their home institution, for study at StFX in the fall semester.  For more information, IDC students should contact Nina Singer, Student Exchange and Study Abroad Coordinator.

The Weston Family Scholarship for International Exchange

Scholarship Award: $6000
The Weston Family Scholarship is awarded to Canadian students from StFX to undertake one semester of study at an international university as part of their undergraduate studies in public policy and governance at StFX. This scholarship for international study is a way for Canadian students to develop greater understanding of global public policy and governance issues through a transformative experiential learning opportunity.

 APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Plan to complete the exchange in the fall or winter semester of their third year at StFX.
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelors Program with a declared Major or Minor in Public Policy and Governance.
  • Have an average of 80% or higher and not be on academic probation.
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Demonstrate an interest in international affairs and developing intercultural competencies.
  • Priority will be given to students who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
