  • Official transcripts
  • Degree replacements
  • Confirmation of enrolment
  • Verification of enrolment letters
  • Confirmation of graduation

Additional document types will be added and issued through the platform in a phased approach.

How do I request an official transcript?

You can request an official printed transcript or an official digital transcript via MyCreds™ by filling out an Official Transcript Request Form. Once you have submitted the form, your request will be processed, and your transcript issued via the delivery method requested. If you request to have it released via MyCredsTM you will receive an email with instructions on how to set up your MyCredsTM credential wallet and access your transcript.

There is a $10 fee per transcript copy.  For an additional $15 per transcript, same day service is available if the request is received by 10:00 AM. All transcript fees must be paid at the time of the request.  Payment methods include cash; money order; cheque (payable to St. Francis Xavier University); debit card; credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). Credit card information is stored in a secure environment and destroyed after processing.

Official transcripts are legal documents and will be issued under the student’s legal name as recorded in the student information system.

What is the fee for MyCredsTM documents?

At this time, there are currently no charges for StFX learners – current or former – to use the MyCredsTM platform. This may be subject to change as the use of the platform expands.

Please note that other schools/organizations may charge for MyCredsTM services.

Where can I have my documents sent?

Documents issued by StFX via MyCredsTM will be sent directly to you, the learner. You will be in control of who you share it with and when.

How long will my documents be available?

Learners will have lifelong access to documents issued via MyCredsTM unless fees are implemented.

Please note that students who are issued official transcripts while an academic year is in progress will need to submit a new official transcript request to receive an updated transcript with final grades.

Transcript fees are applicable for each transcript request submitted.

How do I know that my documents are secure?

When a document is issued, the issuing institution, StFX, cryptographically signs all documents to prevent tampering. Your digital documents in your MyCreds™ account contain legally valid digital signatures. Your documents can only be accessed by StFX, you, and those that you choose to share your documents with.

How do I share my documents?

You have full control over how your documents are shared and with whom.  There are two options for sharing:

  1. Add an email recipient. You have the option to specify how long they can access your document and/or require each recipient to enter a PIN that you set.  For more information on sharing documents this way, please watch this video.
  2. Select the recipient from a list of post-secondary institutions registered on the MyCreds™ network. For more information on sharing a document this way, please watch this video.
How will the receiver of my document know the document is authentic?

All certified documents carry a digital signature that meets legal standards.

An authentic document will always have a blue ribbon symbol that validates the document and confirms it has not been altered after it has been downloaded. If a document has been altered or if the digital signature is not authentic, a symbol with a red cross will signify the document is not valid.

How do I log into the MyCredsTM Learner Portal?

All MyCreds™ notifications will be sent to the email address that the learner provided when submitting the service request.
