StFX’s Advancement team is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the school’s short- and long-term future. University Advancement consists of the following departments:

Alumni Affairs, responsible for:

• Maintaining X connections following graduation
• Overseeing the AlumniNews magazine
• Coordinating Homecoming, chapter events, Alumni listserv, student alumni recognition awards, Alumni Awards of Excellence program, and induction of candidates to the Hall of Honour
• Maintaining the student alumni association

Communications and Marketing, responsible for:

• Media and external relations
• Publications and marketing
• Overseeing crisis communications and sports information
• Producing news@stfx, AlumniNews, Xaverian Profiles and other promotion and recruitment materials
• Managing the Campus Events web page

Development, responsible for:

• Private funding and fundraising

Records, responsible for:

• Maintaining a comprehensive database of alumni, friends and supporters of the University
• Locating “lost” alumni
• Playing a significant role in capital campaign fundraising and alumni event planning, as well as the general daily function of the Development Office/Annual Giving program
