StFX’s Advancement team is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the school’s short- and long-term future. University Advancement consists of the following departments:
Alumni Affairs, responsible for:
- Maintaining X connections following graduation
- Overseeing the AlumniNews magazine
- Coordinating Homecoming, chapter events, Alumni listserv, student alumni recognition awards, Alumni Awards of Excellence program, and induction of candidates to the Hall of Honour
- Maintaining the student alumni association
Communications and Marketing, responsible for:
- Media and external relations
- Publications and marketing
- Overseeing crisis communications and sports information
- Producing news@stfx, AlumniNews, Xaverian Profiles and other promotion and recruitment materials
- Managing the Campus Events web page
Development, responsible for:
- Private funding and fundraising
Records, responsible for:
- Maintaining a comprehensive database of alumni, friends and supporters of the University
- Locating “lost” alumni
- Playing a significant role in capital campaign fundraising and alumni event planning, as well as the general daily function of the Development Office/Annual Giving program
