RBC Undergraduate Student Research Internship Awards

RBC Foundation has initially provided $300,000 for Research Internships associated with the Mulroney Institute of Government.  This funding will support up to eight summer research internship awards valued at $6,250 each (which includes applicable benefits), for students enrolled in Bachelors programs at StFX.  Students will require a StFX faculty mentor from an appropriate area of expertise, who is willing to supervise the student during the internship. Eligibility requires enrollment in full-time studies in a StFX Bachelor’s degree during the most recent complete academic term (prior to the application deadline), and intention to return to full time studies at StFX in the term following the Research Internship.  For more information: click here.

Joseph Armand Bombardier Student Internships

These awards, supported by a $1,000,000 endowment fund, will be valued as $6,000 each (which includes applicable benefits), for students enrolled in a bachelors Degree with Major or Minor in PGOV at StFX.  Up to 6 awards will be available annually.  Re-application will be required for student to receive successive awards across different years.  The awards will support full-time summer employment within a public policy or governance-related position with a host organization (government or non-government).

Weston Foundation International Exchange Awards

StFX has received $1,000,000 from the Weston Family Foundation that will be used to provide funding for student international exchange scholarships.  These awards will be valued at up to $8,000 each for students enrolled in a Bachelors Degree with Major or Minor in PGOV at StFX.  Up to five (5) awards would be available per year.  Re-application would be required for student to receive successive awards across different years.  Awards would support 1 semester at an international partner university program offering courses equivalent to those at StFX and thus eligible for course credit at StFX.
