Did you apply to graduate?

All students must complete and submit a degree/diploma graduation application.  The attached outlines the procedure to apply.

Gown Pick-Up

Friday, May 1        12 noon - 8 pm

Saturday, May 2    10 am - 8 pm

Sunday May 3        8 am - 8 pm (pick up and return)

Gowns will be issued by Regalia Services at the StFX Store, located in the Bloomfield Centre. You will require a gown and the appropriate hood for the degree you are to receive. Candidates for diplomas will wear gowns with collars. If you already hold a degree from StFX, or another university, you may wear the hood for that degree. You must be on the official list of grad candidates and must provide your full name, student ID # and size.

Graduates who require special physical or time considerations should contact Regalia Services at the StFX Store at 1-902-867-2450

NOTE: If you signed out a gown for the X-Ring Ceremony in December, and did not return it, you must use that gown. Duplicate gowns will not be issued.

Appropriate Dress: Semi-formal attire and comfortable shoes are recommended.

Gowns and hoods must be returned to the StFX Store / Gown Room following Convocation and no later than 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 5. After this time, a late rental fee of $8.00 per day, per item will be allocated to the student’s account (based on ID number.) Exceptions will only be considered when a prior arrangement has been made by the student in question, and accepted by Regalia staff, for late return. Items not returned by 4 p.m. Friday, May 8, will be charged at full cost to the student’s account (based on ID number.)

Admission Tickets

Admission to the Keating Centre for Convocation is by ticket only. For the 2020 convocation each graduate is entitled to a maximum of five (5) tickets for their guests. These will be issued with academic regalia at Bloomfield Centre. Due to limited seating, there are no extra tickets available. Students who need more tickets should check with classmates for any unused tickets.
