StFX Giving Day - November 28

You Did It!

On Tuesday, November 28th, we asked you to show your support for student financial aid programs at StFX.

And you did. In a big way!

Through your generosity, we raised $135,066.30 from 344 gifts. This money will now flow to our students in the form of bursaries, scholarships and other aid programs. On behalf of our students, thank you!

We’re raising funds to support student financial aid at StFX, and we need your help to do it.

On Tuesday, November 28, 2017, StFX is joining the global Giving Tuesday movement, a 24-hour initiative that links organizations across the world as they raise funds for important local and international causes. As part of Giving Tuesday, StFX is raising money for student financial aid programs.

Any Amount Counts.

No gift is too modest to make an impact. See how your contributions can make life better for a StFX student:

$10 gift      =    One swipe at meal hall
$20 gift      =    One tutoring session
$50 gift      =    A week’s worth of groceries
$150 gift    =    One textbook
$300 gift    =    Transportation from StFX and a
                          student’s hometown for a year
$500 gift    =    Rent for one month
$1000 gift  =    1/8th of a domestic student's
                           annual tuition (estimated)

Double your impact.

Gifts by first-time donors and/or young alumni will be matched to a maximum of $25,000. For example, your $20 gift will have a $40 impact.

Matching gifts are made possible by the generous support of StFX alumni.

What is student financial aid at StFX?

StFX financial aid provides vital support that can make the difference between a student leaving university and finishing their degree. At StFX, student financial aid programs take many forms, including:

  • Need-based financial bursaries
  • The StFX Student Food Resource Centre, providing food to students who otherwise may go without
  • The student parent holiday fund, providing StFX student parents with resources to buy gifts and supplies for their family during the holiday season

We want to make sure any StFX student who needs financial aid programs can access them.

Will you help us?

How do I get involved?

On Tuesday, November 28, help us create a
stronger tomorrow for StFX students.
