Fall Convocation FAQ

WHAT TIME IS FALL CONVOCATION?

The Fall Convocation ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 4th at 3 pm.

ARE MASKS REQUIRED FOR THE CEREMONY?

All students, faculty, staff and guests  attending the Fall Convocation ceremony will be required to wear masks for the duration of the ceremony.

WHERE DO I LINE UP FOR THE CEREMONY?

Graduates will enter the Saputo Centre Main doors and be directed to Coach K Court for ceremony line up and procession. and the line up will take place in Coach K Court.  Further procession information, i.e. line up time, etc. will be available, closer to the ceremony.

WHERE & WHEN CAN I GET GOWN? 

The Gown room will be open in the hospitaility suites on the second floor of the Keating Centre at the below times

Friday, December 2nd – 12 pm – 4 pm

Saturday, December 3rd – 9 am – 6 pm

Sunday, December 4th  – 9 am – 6 pm *Gown returns following the ceremony will be in the Keating Centre Main Arena until 6pm*

Monday, December 5th 9 am – 4 pm – at StFX Store

**Late fees will apply after Tuesday and full replacement costs will be applied to your StFX account on Friday, December 9th**

WHAT TIME WILL DOORS OPEN FOR GUESTS?

The doors for Convocation will open at 1:30 pm. 

HOW MANY TICKETS DO I RECIEVE FOR GUESTS?

Each graduate can have up to 5 tickets for convocation. You can share tickets with classmates should you not require all 5 tickets.  You will get your tickets when you pick up your Academic regalia.

WILL THE CEREMONY BE LIVED STREAMED?

Yes, the entire ceremony will be live streamed www.stfx.ca/convocation 

I AM NOT ATTENDING CONVOCATION - HOW WILL I RECIEVE MY PARCHMENT?

All degrees not picked up at Convocation will be mailed out by the Registrar’s Office the week following the convocation ceremony.  Please ensure your address is updated in your self-serve Banner account.
