X-Ring Ceremony FAQ

WHEN IS THE X-RING CEREMONY

The X-Ring ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 3^rd at 2pm.

ARE MASKS REQUIRED FOR THE CEREMONY?

All students, faculty, staff and guests attending the X-Ring ceremony are required to wear masks for the duration of the ceremony.

WHERE DO I LINE UP FOR THE CEREMONY?

A couple days before the ceremony, you will receive your ceremony number, location and time to line up.  The location will be either the Aux gym in the Amelia Saputo Centre or the AUX Rink in the Charles V/ Keating Centre. 

WHERE DO I GET MY GOWN?

Our ceremonial team will be located on the 2^nd floor of the Keating Centre to distribute gowns. All students MUST come during one of these pick up times. Your gowns cannot be picked up by anyone else. 

WHAT ARE THE HOURS FOR GOWN PICK UP AND DROP OFF?

The gown room will be open in the hospitality suites on the second floor of the Keating Centre at the below times

Friday, December 2^nd – 12 pm – 4 pm

Saturday, December 3^rd – 9 am – 6 pm *Gown returns following the ceremony will be in the Keating Centre Main Arena until 6pm*

Sunday, December 4^th  – 9 am – 6 pm *Gown returns following the ceremony will be in the Keating Centre Main Arena until 6pm*

DROP OFF

Monday, December 5^th 9 am – 4 pm – at StFX Store

Tuesday December 6th 9am - 4pm - at the StFX Store 

**Late fees will apply after Tuesday and full replacement costs will be applied to your StFX account on Friday, December 9^th**

WHERE DO MY PARENTS, FRIENDS OR FAMILY WATCH THE CEREMONY FROM?

Viewing rooms are available for parents, family and friends. Guests must pre-register for space in a viewing room by November 28^th by clicking HERE.  It is important to note that masks are required in the on campus viewing spaces

for all family and friends.

 WILL THE CEREMONY BE LIVE STREAMED?

Yes, the entire ceremony will be live streamed on www.stfx.ca/xring

ARE YOU RECEIVING A SECOND DEGREE AND PLANNING TO RESUBMIT YOUR X-RING?

You must notify our Ceremonial team that you are intending to resubmit your current X-Ring.  Please email xring.eligibility@stfx.ca to indicate you wish to resubmit your X-Ring and participate in the ceremony.  Only students receiving

a second degree are permitted to resubmit their X-Ring.  Your X-Ring must be dropped off to Taylor MacIntyre at the X-Ring Store by Friday, November 18^th at 4pm.

I AM NOT ATTENDING X-RING, HOW DO I GET MY RING?

If you know you are not attending the X-Ring Ceremony, you must email xring.eligibility@stfx.ca to indicate you are not attending the ceremony on December 3^rd.   Please make shipping or pick up arrangements directly with the vendor that you purchased your X-Ring from.

VIEWING SPACES

In the viewing rooms, masks must be worn at all times when not consuming beverages.  We will have complimentary coffee and tea and water on site for family members.  We encourage them to bring fillable water bottles.
