StFX Co-operative Education presents Students' Choice supervisor award

April 19th, 2016
Kyle Hartigan and Don Crawley

StFX’s Co-operative Education team recently honoured one of its partners, presenting the Students’ Choice – Outstanding Co-op Supervisor Award to Don Crawley, manager, SAP Business Support Center, Nova Scotia Department of Education & Early Childhood Development.

The award is designed to allow co-op students the opportunity to recognize a supervisor who has been an exceptional mentor and went above and beyond normal expectations to ensure that the student had a quality work term.

Mr. Crawley was nominated by two StFX BIS co-op students, Kyle Hartigan and Clare Blake.

The nomination process required students to write a 750-1,000 word essay explaining how their supervisor went above and beyond normal work expectations. Both students wrote shining essays about Mr. Crawley.

The two students both worked in a 12-month co-op position as a SAP systems analyst. Mr. Hartigan will finish his position at the end April, and Ms. Blake worked in the same role in 2014-2015.

Co-operative Education manager Jane MacDonald says Mr. Crawley has been a strong supporter of the program and already has big plans for the next co-op student.
