"The Future of the French Revolution," A Lecture by Citizen Yvon Grenier, Department of Political Science.

The French Revolution features contrasting qualities: virtue and intolerance, humanism and terror, classicism and romanticism. It is the cradle of political modernity: the modern state, citizenship, mass politics, ideologies, human reights, democracy and totalitarianism. From 1789 to the Yellow Vests movement, the revolutionary spirit lives on, but is the Revolution over?
