Far Beyond The CSI Effect

WHAT: Forensic Psychology Day @X is an annual event hosted by the students of Forensic Psychology. The day includes a series of talks and activities including: keynote speaker, Judge Halfpenny-MacQuarrie who presides over the Wellness Court in Port Hawkesbury; Dr. Marc Patry from SMU who will talk about the Mr. Big Sting; alumnus Dr. Meg Ternes from SMU who will talk about the effect of substance use on memory for violent crime; 2 psychologists and an inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary; a presentation by the service dogs from Nova Institution for Women; and a panel of our illustrious alumni who will share how they got from "X to wherever they are today; poster presentations by Forensic students and more. Everyone is welcome to attend!

WHEN: March 16th from 8:30-4:30

WHERE: MacKay Room in Bloomfield Centre

WHY: Because you will learn what goes on within our criminal and correctional justice systems - far beyond "the CSI effect"!
