The Department of History, in conjunction with the Gender and Sexual Diverity Student Advisor, and X-Pride, proudly present "Contextualizing Stonewall: 50 Years Later in Nova Scotia. This panel will address the impact of the 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York City, an event that led to the contemporary movement Pride movement and the struggle for LGBTQ2SIA rights. 

The date and location is Thursday, January 10, 7-9 pm, in Schwartz 156. 

Panelists include: 

Robin Metcalfe, curator of the SMU Art Gallery, and one of the original founders of the Gay Alliance for Equality (GAE) in NS, in the aftermath of the Stonewall Uprising. 

Colleen Cameron, a social justice activist in Antigonish and former professor in the School of Nursing and former teacher at the Coady Institute, StFX.
