Our Motto

Quaecumque Sunt Vera ("Whatsoever things are true") is from St. Paul's letter to Philippians (4: 4-9).
Advancement
StFX’s Advancement team is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the school’s short- and long-term future. University Advancement consists of the following departments:

Arts & Culture
StFX’s thriving, eclectic arts and culture scene has always been one of its most appealing features. There’s truly something for everyone, which is why our students can be constantly found enjoying StFX’s and Antigonish’s creative side. Here are just a few examples of all the great things to do in and around campus:
Our Location - Antigonish
Antigonish
Students have been falling in love with Antigonish since StFX moved here more than a century and a half ago. Whether gathering for a post-exam meal at Gabrieau’s Bistro on Main Street, blowing off a little steam at The Tall and Small Café, enjoying a moment of self-reflection on the Brierly Brook bridge, or taking part in the thrilling Highland Games, the young men and women who attend StFX are as proud of their adopted town as they are of their school.

Whether it's the beauty of the StFX campus, student life, or the excitement of an on-campus event, take a moment to view some of our favourite photos. As the saying goes 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
Office of the President
Dr. Sean Riley has been a Rhodes scholar, a leading businessman, a successful entrepreneur, a civil servant, a standout athlete, and a recipient of the Lester B. Pearson Award. But we think the most important item on his resume is this: StFX graduate. Dr. Riley graduated from StFX in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts, First Class Honours, and has had StFX running through his blood ever since. That’s why, when he received the offer to return to the campus as president in 1996, he jumped at the chance. It wasn’t because of a desire to relive past glories.
