Touring Residences

At StFX, it’s all about customizing your experience—including asking you what type of residence experience you think you’d prefer. You answer that question when you apply, after which we match you to the residence house best suited to you among the following:

  • Bishops Hall. Extensively renovated in 2007, Bishops provides students with a high-quality, fully accessible living experience complete with new furniture, modern lounges, big screen TVs and other amenities.

  • Cameron Hall and MacKinnon Hall. These close-knit twin limestone houses reside along the lower campus’s tree-lined avenue, close to Morrison Dining Hall, the library and the chapel. Cameron and MacKinnon have been beloved residences on campus for generations.

  • Mount Saint Bernard. MLB features a 24-hour reception desk and mail service, plus a games room and small gym. What else is there to say?

  • Lane Hall. A popular option with first- and second-year students, Lane is a stone’s throw from classrooms, the library and the Students’ Union.

  • MacIsaac. The recently renovated five-storey building is popular with first- and second-year students and close to the Students’ Union and athletic facilities. Not to mention it has the largest double rooms on campus.

  • Governors. StFX’s newest residence is a popular choice for upper-year students for its single and shared suite-style rooms, stunning lounges and full-service kitchens.

  • Apartment-style: Somers Hall, Power Hall, West Street. The school’s modern apartment-style residences have long been a popular choice for upper-year students, offering the best of both independent and campus living.
