Language Requirements

For applicants whose first language is not English, a test of English proficiency is required. The test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is recommended.

The minimum score required is:

  • 580 (paper based)
  • 236 (computer based)
  • 92 on the IBT (internet based test)

Other acceptable tests are:

  • MELAB (minimum score required is 90)
  • IELTS (minimum score required 6.5)
  • CAEL (minimum score required is 70)

*All scores must be submitted as official documents (photocopies will not be accepted)

NOTE: For applicants whose first language is not English but have been taught in the English language for more than two years, an English language proficiency test is not required.
