StFX students will have a chance to hear from Alexander Pollich, president and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., who will be on campus January 19 for a presentation about "Porsche Intelligent Performance - A glimpse at the future of the sports car." His talk takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the Schwartz Auditorium.
"Having the Canadian CEO of a world renowned corporation such as Porsche visiting our university is a testament to the work being done behind the scenes to enhance our education and our experience at StFX. It is an opportunity that doesn't come around very often and one that you simply cannot miss."
Honours student and German 200 student Cody Smith says as Porsche is such an important luxury car brand both in Germany and in Canada, Mr. Pollich's arrival is very much anticipated by the StFX community. “Students studying German at StFX are especially looking forward to meeting Mr. Pollich because German car makers have been discussed during class.”
Mr. Pollich has over 20 years of automotive experience, starting his career in the Internal Auditing Department at Mercedes-Benz AG in Stuttgart, Germany and, later, at the Boston Consulting Group in the same location.
