Séamus MacFloinn, 2009-10 visiting Irish lecturer in the Department of Celtic Studies, will present the talk "'Sure it's the same as back home' An irish speaker's observations on the current state of the Irish Gaelic language in Ireland and the view from Nova Scotia," focusing on contemporary Irish language politics and reflections on his experience regarding Scottish Gaelic in Nova Scotia.
