Championships. CIS medals. A Gold with Team Canada. StFX's proud athletic tradition continues to impress.

Top athletes and coaches are drawn to StFX because of our reputation for athletic, as well as academic excellence. Both the X-Men and X-Women varsity teams are consistently among the Canada's best.

"Everything we do within StFX Athletics involves pride, passion and tradition. We are extremely proud of the more than 80 AUS and CIS championships, but the main objective is for student athletes to become leaders and make strong contributions to society."

In the Community

We believe in building 'everyday champions' that not only excel in competition and the classroom, but demonstrate leadership in the community as well. Our athletes take pride participating in community programs, like X-Out Bullying, in which over 50 varsity athletes talk to Grade 4 and Grade 5 students in Antigonish Town and County; Big Brothers/Big Sisters, in which the Athletics Department purchases a Big Brother or Sister a season’s pass for Men’s Hockey or Football; and Kids in the Crowd, in which local businesses purchase tickets to varsity home games for kids who might not otherwise be able to go.
